About the organisation
From 2023 to 2024, Proper Good worked with Zero Hour- the campaign for the Climate & Ecology Bill. Zero Hour is a plan for a new UK law that addresses the full extent of the climate and nature crisis in line with the most up-to-date science.
About the project
Zero Hour wanted a film that could reach general members of the general public – especially those not already totally committed to the climate change. The focus needed to be about the other benefits the Bill will create that everyday people care about. They wanted a big idea that could cut through the main film campaign and the cutdowns.
Our campaign results
The film secured a Picturehouse cinema run, and was followed by an online organic campaign that had strong results. In its first 7 days:
- Total of 369,400 views so far
- Toadwatch reel on Instagram: 25,700 plays (accounts reached 21,000 – of these accounts, 94% were not following Zero Hour
- 657 new sign ups
Impact
The Climate & Ecology Bill is crucial to ensuring that nature is protected adequately and make sure the UK does its bit to keep global heating down to 1.5°C, which gives us a chance to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
